MAJORMURDERLAZERTRONICS!

First off, I've been super busy and off my blog game. My apologies to any and all Dienasty fans out there. Now that that has been said, I've got a cool project that Murdertronics and I just finished working on. The fucking fantastic Major Lazer put out a call for audio and visual remixes of their work and Murdertronics and Dienasty stepped up to the plate. So here's the design I worked up...
You can and should vote for both of our efforts cuz we can win some prizes! Vote for the visual here... http://remix.majorlazer.com/entry?entry%3D105ze3d90b
And the super rad audio remix here... http://remix.majorlazer.com/entry?entry%3D106zaf8100

Genesis P-Orridge!

30 yrs of art making by a real character! Got turned on to Psychick TV and Throbbing Gristle years ago, made a huge, weird, and lasting impression on me. S/he is a weirdo in the best sense of the word. Go see this at Invisible-Exports.

RIP JIM CARROL

What's up with everyone dying? And young?
For those who don't know...Jim Carroll, 60, a poet-turned-punk rocker whose book "The Basketball Diaries" chronicled his descent from elite high school basketball star to Times Square drug addict, thief and prostitute, died Sept. 11 at his home in Manhattan after a heart attack. Mr. Carroll's best-known work was an autobiographical account of his years from 12 to 15 when he received a basketball scholarship to Trinity, an elite Manhattan high school, and began abusing cocaine and other drugs. The journal, excerpted in the Paris Review, became highly popular on college campuses and was published as a book in 1978. A 1995 movie version starred Leonardo DiCaprio as Mr. Carroll." from the Washington Post

Real Magic!

Chillin' with Ron Jeremy @ Magic. This is actually the 2nd time we met. The first time was over at the home of a good friend of his who was living at the Chelsea hotel. We smoked a joint and he tried to convince my girlfriend at the time to let him join us in a threesome. We politely declined his offer. Super nice guy though and I loved him in Orgazmo!
Had a great time at Magic! Met some cool people, including the artist Skinner, whose work I'm a huge fan of! Check out his work, it's super rad. Here's a pic of one of his works...
I'm an asshole cuz he was there doing a live painting and I didn't snap a pic. Some fan I am! It was a great piece as well. Damn.
I stayed with a good friend of mine, William, of Helmet of the Will, who had a booth at Project. He designs and makes a top notch upscale product for the high end connoisseur. Super soft cotton with some great hand drawn prints. Thanks Bill for the hookup and the good times!
Made some connections, strengthened some others. Partied, ate well, rolled back to our sick suite at 6am. Saw alot of great product from some great brands. Inspiration to step up the game and make some moves. All in all, MAGIC!
